Lokal Roots

Lokal Roots is a youth‐led urban farm based in Brunei which aspires to be one of the leading urban farming hubs in the country. Through its pilot project, Lokal Roots aims to use sustainable farming to grow natural, high quality fruits and vegetables to cater the needs of local eateries and markets.

Unlike conventional farming methods, which are prone to excessive use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, sustainable agriculture is the production of food using farming techniques that protect the environment and promote public health, including animal welfare. Such techniques include aquaponics system and vertical farming.
